WEST SOMERSET PHYSIOTHERAPY AT HOME is a physiotherapy service for people who benefit from rehabilitation in their own home setting, aimed at helping people recover from illness or maintain their mobility, function and independence.

West Somerset Physiotherapy at Home is run by Samantha Cox. Sam is an HCPC registered, chartered physiotherapist. Having qualified in 2006, she has expertise in acute and community sectors and specialises in rehabilitation and management of frailty. She has a passion for working with people in their own homes, promoting activity and wellness in older people.
Sam now splits her time between NHS and private sector work across West Somerset, within approx 10 mile radius of Minehead.

Visits can be in private dwellings, supported living accommodation, residential or nursing homes.
Sam has developed links with other local health care professionals as well as community support services and will be able to signpost on to appropriate services as needed.
What to expect
When you make an enquiry with West Somerset Physio at Home, Sam will make contact to discuss your needs and arrange an initial session in your home.
Initial sessions usually last 60 minutes which includes assessment, initiation of treatment and provision of treatment plan or exercise programme as appropriate.
Initial assessment fee is £60 (within 10 mile radius of Minehead, additional fees may be added outside of this area).
Follow up appointments usually last 45- 60 minutes depending on your needs and are charged accordingly.

Samantha has visited my 97 year old mother in the past for a neck problem and is now visiting weekly to keep her as mobile as possible. Samantha has been very understanding and has developed strategies to cope with my mother’s complete lack of vision, which affects her balance. She also takes account of how my mother is feeling on the day, communicates well with the staff of the residential home and keeps me updated. And most importantly, my mother likes her and enjoys her visits.
